3 Tips for Mum Kate Middleton After Royal Baby Delivery

TheBumpwithCastsI doubt Kate Middleton will have any trouble losing the few pounds she gained during her pregnancy.  She probably has a well appointed gym to rival the Royal Baby’s Nursery, but if she could just take a walk around the Buckingham Palace block, it might help with her mental and physical health.

Actually, running from the paparazzi would give her all the exercise she needs.

For the rest of us mortals, here are 3 Tips that helped me slim down after delivering my baby.  It was quite difficult to even think about weight loss at first, because I had one leg in a pink cast, and one in a blue cast. (More on that story here)  But when my newly healed hairy legs were finally revealed, I got busy shaving and moving.

What did you do to slim down post-pregnancy?

Please share…

Going through labor and delivery, caring for a newborn, toddler, husband and home, while hopping around with the help of a walker because I had a cast up to the knee on both legs, I learned a very important lesson... I CAN DO ANYTHING! ...and I'm here to say... YOU CAN TOO! I can't wait to chat!

When wearing a walking boot or cast, pay attention to the other joints and limbs used when walking. You hips, back and knee may need to bear considerably more than their fair share of the movement required for walking. Knees in particular are vulnerable, and you may find your knees fatigue more quickly until you get used to the immobilization of your ankle, especially if you are wearing a very stiff walking boot.

A broken leg can keep you off your feet for a period of six to eight weeks or longer. During this time you will likely have a cast on your leg and be required to use crutches or another form of walking aid. Being this sedentary can make losing weight a challenge. But rest assured, there are actions you can take to lose weight with a broken leg.
